{ Balsamic Strawberry Sauce }

Who does love cake topped with fruit? After my beloved meringue and pavlova, any light cake topped with fruit is always my go to dessert. Here is a very easy recipe for your next dinner party. Make your cake (here are my favorite recipes here, here and here) or even get one from the store (we’ve all done it) and top with this yummy Balsamic Strawberry Sauce!

{ ingredients }

  • 2-3 cups of strawberries, sliced
  • 2 Tbs. sugar (OPTIONAL)
  • 3 Tbs. aged balsamic vinegar

{ directions }

  1. Add all to a small pot and bring to a boil, stirring often. Lower heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside until ready to serve.
