Mango Basil Guacamole

{ Mango Basil Guacamole }

Having a party or a cookout this weekend for Fathers’ Day? Make this guacamole for your group and I promise it will be a crowd-pleaser! Here is a recipe for a mango basil guacamole. It is a take on my FAVORITE GUAC, using basil instead of cilantro and adding fresh mango! Yum!

{ ingredients }

  • 4 ripe avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
  • 1 fresh lime, juiced
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 1 cup of tomatoes {I used golden sweet cherry (yellow)}, halved
  • 1 fresh mango, peeled and chopped
  • Small handful of fresh chopped basil
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 small habanero or jalapeno, finely diced (OPTIONAL)

{ directions }

  1. In large bowl, mash avocados roughly with most of the lime juice. I use two large forks or a potato masher.
  2. Stir in onion, tomatoes, mango, salt, and cilantro (and pepper if using) until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Taste and add more salt if needed.
  4. Finish with remaining lime juice.
  5. Enjoy! Yum!

{ Additional Add-Ins }

  • Diced green onions
  • More fresh diced jalapeno for additional spice

Makes about 8 servings, but guacamole always disappears quickly at a party!

Serve with your favorite chips. Mine are Garden of Eatin’ Red Hot Blues!
