{ Mango Basil Smoothie }

I love using fresh herbs in smoothies. I use herbs in all my other recipes, why not add to a smoothie as well? Mint is a bit more expected, but basil has found a place in my heart and my mango smoothie! Here is a recipe for a mango basil smoothie, I dare you not to fall in love with!

{ ingredients }

  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup spinach
  • 1 handful of fresh basil
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 Tbs. agave
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut milk, unsweet
  • 1  Tbs. wheatgerm
  • 1 Tbs. ground flax seed
  • 1 Tbs. chia seed

{ directions }

  1. Blend all smoothie ingredients until smooth.
  2. Drink on it’s own or build your perfect smoothie bowl!
  3. Enjoy! Yum!

Makes about 1 serving.

My smoothie advice is always to find a protein that you like and play around to find your favorite combinations. Here are a few of mine: Blueberry BlastRaspberry Mint, Green and Chocolate Raspberry!
