I have a sweet tooth. No matter how good or filling my dinner is, I always crave something sweet afterwards. I’ve been in the habit of keeping dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs around to satisfy these cravings. I saw a photo of this bark in a magazine and knew I wanted to try it. I love dark chocolate, and I love pomegranate seeds…why not combine them? This is a great sweet for the upcoming holiday season and looks (and tastes) impressive, with very little prep time and effort.  Here is a recipe for a very quick and easy dark chocolate bark with pomegranate seeds and sea salt.

{ ingredients }

  • 1 package of extra dark chocolate chips, cacao nibs or semi-sweet chocolate chips/pieces
  • 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds (or seeds from one pomegranate)
  • 1 tsp. coarsely ground sea salt (I used Pink Himalayan Sea Salt) 

{ directions }

  1. Heat chocolate in the microwave or on the stove top. Make sure to keep stirring and not to burn the chocolate. Heat until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Spread a piece of parchment paper on the counter and pour the chocolate onto it. Spread the chocolate out to create a thin layer.
  3. Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over the chocolate evenly and top with sea salt. Let sit until cool and hard and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
  4. Enjoy! Yum!
