{ Lemon Fennel Salt }

After a visit to Savory Spice Shop, I have been inspired to create more finishing salts. I took home their truffle salt and an alderwood salt. These were both so good, I couldn’t wait to try a few of my own. Here is a simply recipe for lemon fennel salt, perfect to add to roasted vegetables, Italian soups and more!

{ ingredients }

  1. 3 Tbs. fennel seeds
  2. 1 tsp. lemon zest
  3. 1 Tbs. sea salt flakes

{ directions }

  1. Toasted the fennel seeds in a small pan until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes
  2. When seeds are ready, add them to a mortar and pestle and grind with lemon zest and sea salt flakes.
  3. Grind until well combined and seeds are broken down.
  4. Store in an airtight container or bag.
  5. Enjoy! Yum!
