{ Cheesy Black Bean Burger }

I have already shared a black bean burger recipe, but this one was too easy and yummy not to share. Best thing about this was the smoked cheese! Here is a recipe for a vegetarian black bean burger with cheese and jalapeño!

{ ingredients }

  • 2 15 oz. cans of black beans, drained
  • 1/2 jalapeño, finely diced (whole if you like the kick!)
  • 1/2 cut oats
  • 2 Tbs. flax seed
  • 1 Tbs. chia seed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (I used Christian Cheese’s Smoked Cheddar)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

 { directions }

  1. Mash beans in a medium bowl. once most if beans are mashed, add in all other ingredients and stir until evenly combined.
  2. Using your hands, form patties and cook on grill, griddle or skillet until lightly browned and crispy on both sides. Serve on a toasted bun or on their own.
  3. Enjoy! Yum!

Makes about 8 servings. These are also great leftover.
