{ Chunky Avocado Dip }

Sometimes you just have to change up your favorite guacamole recipe . Every once in a awhile, I prefer a chunkier dip with fresh from the garden basil and tomatoes! Here is a recipe for chunky avocado dip with fresh basil.

{ ingredients }

  • 4 ripe avocados, seeded, peeled and diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 fresh lime, juiced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup of tomatoes (I prefer a mix of cherry/grape and golden sweet yellow), halved or quartered
  • Dash of sea salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Hand full of fresh basil, roughly chopped

{ directions }

  1. In large bowl, mix avocado, tomatoes, lime juice and basil.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Enjoy! Yum!

{ Additional Add-Ins }

  • Diced jalapeno
  • Diced green onions
  • Pressed garlic
  • Fresh corn from the cob (or grilled corn removed from the cob)

Makes about 8 servings. Serve with or on toast points OR with your favorite chips. Mine are Garden of Eatin’ Red Hot Blues!
